A LUTHERAN VIEW OF CHURCH AND STATE
NOTE TO CLASS LEADER: During the presentation of Lesson Three, I found maps of Europe at the relevant time periods to be helpful in presenting the material. Many class participants have not studied the history of Europe with any great detail and particularly, studied the Holy Roman Empire. I used maps from the Columbia History of the World, editors John A. Garraty and Peter Gay (New York, NY, Harper & Row, Publishers, Inc, 1972) for the maps I used during the presentation. The references below to maps on certain pages are references to maps located in that publication.
